[Table and Testimony] Seven were chosen where widows had need, And Stephen served with a faithful deed. Grace on his face, wisdom in speech, No purchased honor, no throne to reach. [Verse I] False words gathered and witnesses came, Yet heaven had marked him before they named blame. He opened the story from Abraham's road, Through Joseph and Moses and Sinai's load.
