Estudio profundo
2 Reyes 4:41–44 forma una unidad literaria. Abre con “But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the…”, gira cerca del versículo 42 con “And there came a man from Baal-shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the…” y llega a “So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the…”. El narrador crea significado mediante quien inicia cada acción, quien responde, lo que cambia y las consecuencias que permanecen. Una acción narrada no es automáticamente una acción aprobada. Como control textual, el pasaje fuente KJV contiene 3 marcadores de discurso, 1 preguntas, 1 contrastes y 3 versículos que nombran al LORD o a Dios.
