Primero el texto
Donde difieren los lectores
El resumen comienza con lo que dice el pasaje y cómo se relacionan sus partes. No supone que una denominación ya haya resuelto cada pregunta. Toda dependencia de una tradición, teoría literaria o reconstrucción histórica se identifica con claridad.
El texto KJV aparece primero. Las conclusiones interpretativas se identifican, y las diferencias se presentan cuando ayudan a explicar por qué las comunidades serias no siempre llegan a la misma respuesta.
El ángel y el sudor como gotas de sangre
Luke 22:43-44. La KJV incluye al ángel que fortalece a Jesús y su sudor que llega a ser como grandes gotas de sangre. Estos versículos son antiguos, pero faltan en los papiros más antiguos de Lucas y en manuscritos de varias regiones. Otros testigos tempranos sí los incluyen.
Como la evidencia antigua está dividida, muchas Biblias modernas conservan los versículos con corchetes o una nota. Los lectores difieren sobre si pertenecían al texto original de Lucas o entraron muy pronto en el Evangelio desde una tradición recordada.
La comparación dice “como grandes gotas de sangre”. La frase comunica la intensidad de la agonía de Jesús, pero no debe exagerarse hasta convertirla en un diagnóstico médico que el texto no ofrece.
