At seventy-five he gathered house and herd and road, And crossed into a country only promise could disclose. [Pre-Chorus] At Shechem rose an altar, Between Bethel and Ai a name was called. [Bridge] When eastern kings took captives, Abram armed his faithful men, Pursued them through the darkness and brought Lot home again. Melchizedek blessed him, bread and wine before the King, And Abram would not let Sodom claim the wealth deliverance brings.
